Step 2

Using the product

First Step: Starting the business intelligence utility.

Tally
1. Click on the tally icon as shown above and start the program.
2. Select company whose reports one need to analyze from tally.

MyView
1. Click on the MyView icon as shown above and start the program.

Second Step: Running the Sales Report View.

Tally

1. Reports - Display -Account Books - Sales Register
2. Select the month for the data you want to analyze
3. Press F5 for Columnar Register Alteration.
4. Select Yes in all options and then press enter and select yes for accept.
5. Then click on export button at the right side of the screen.
6. Exporting Day Book will appear.
7. Format select as XML (Data Interchange)
8. Output file name by default is DayBook.xml, rename it to sales.xml
9. You have the following questions displayed in exporting day book option.
a) Show Extract of Register ? No (Default)

Set option to No
b) Show columnar Register ? No (Default)

Set option to Yes
c) Format : Condensed (Default)

Set option to Detailed
10. Press enter and select Yes to export.

MyView

1. Select Get Tally Data button. You would get the message "Successfully Imported"
2. Select Get Sales Data button You would get the message "Successfully Imported"
3.Enter MyView report writer.
4. Analyze and get report the way you want.

Next: Running the Purchase Report View.

Tally

1. Reports - Display -Account Books - Purchase Register
2. Select the month for the data you want to analyze
3. Press F5 for Columnar Register Alteration.
4. Select Yes in all options and then press enter and select yes for accept.
5. Then click on export button at the right side of the screen.
6. Exporting Day Book will appear.
7. Format select as XML (Data Interchange)
8. Output file name by default is DayBook.xml, rename it to purchase.xml
9. You have the following questions displayed in exporting day book option.
    a) Show Extract of Register ? No (Default) Set option to No
    b) Show columnar Register   ? No (Default) Set option to Yes
    c) Format : Condensed (Default) Set option to Detailed
10. Press enter and select Yes to export.

MyView

1. Select Get Tally Data button. You would get the message "Successfully Imported"
2. Select Get Purchase Data button You would get the message "Successfully Imported"
3.Enter MyView report writer.
4. Analyze and get report the way you want.
